Kick On Football: building a brand with matchday energy

Branding, website and social media for a children's football coaching company in Preston and South Ribble. Loud, warm and impossible to mistake for anyone else.

Kick On Football branding on the pitch

Kick On runs friendly football coaching for boys and girls aged 3 to 12 and up, across three venues in Preston and South Ribble. When they came to us the brief went beyond a website. They needed a brand with the same energy as the sessions. Loud, warm and impossible to mistake for anyone else.

A brand that feels like matchday

Plenty of brands in children's sport feel corporate. Safe colours, stock photos, the same rounded sans serif as everyone else. We went the other way: bold red and black, big confident type and photography straight from the pitch, with real kids and real coaches. Then we carried the identity through to the kit the coaches train in, so the brand is standing on the touchline every Saturday morning.

A website built for parents, not for us

The people reading the site are not the ones doing the coaching. They are parents with ten minutes and three questions: where, when and how much. So classes, venues, the weekly timetable and the free first session are never more than a tap away, and every page answers the questions parents actually ask before they book. No jargon, no buried PDFs, no forms longer than they need to be.

Social keeps the whole thing moving

Squad posts and session highlights go out in the same look and voice as the site, so every week of coaching helps fill the next. Saturday sessions, girls' football, goalkeeping, holiday camps and parties all get their moment in the feed, and the feed sends people somewhere that can actually take the booking.

What this job shows

When branding, web design and social media come from one team, the whole thing compounds. The kit matches the website, the website matches the feed, and a parent who sees a post on Tuesday recognises the brand at the venue on Saturday. That recognition is what gets the second booking.
